When trying to find leads, customers or people to join your business, the majority of people turn to buying leads. Buying leads to build a large business organization DOES NOT work! Now why would I say that?
First of all, it's a waste of money for any home business entrepreneur, because the ROI is simply not worth the effort and time it takes. You have to call Secondly, most of us will never be able to sponsor enough people with purchased leads to grow a substantial organization before we run out of money. Thirdly, even if we do sponsor people, how many of them will actually have the stomach to do what we have done? Not many!

The bottom line is they are looking for an investment from me. When I look at them I see the same common thread running through each and every one of them. They are opportunities that require buying massive amounts of leads and lots of phone work. When I see this I stay away, because I like I said before, I don't want to call anyone and try to convince them to join a business that I know will not produce the promises that were made.
NOW THE GOOD NEWS - The one that got my attention!
Although I read the majority of business proposals, it's only out of courtesy. I NEVER recommend a business opportunity, not until I got one that got my attention. This one was different! It had a totally unique business model. It was a Nutraceutical Company that had a whole new approach to the MLM and Network Marketing Industry. I looked at the products and saw that they were powerful and promoted wellness. Although many other opportunities promoted wellness, this company was unique. They promoted Wellness and Wealth simultaneously.
As I kept reading I saw what really triggered my mind, and made me realize that this is a totally different approach. I saw their was no other MLM company that had anything like it. As I did my due-diligence, I could not find anything like this on the Internet, except the company proposed in the plan. What was this unique concept? They promoted buying customers, NOT leads!

I never heard about buying customers and so I wasn't sure that I was reading it correctly.
I called several people to verify the information. I talked to a person who had been doing it for a while and he confirmed my findings. I do not have make phone calls to leads who don't want to be called. All I do is purchase the customer from the company and get the commissions.
I keep reading and trying to find the flaws in the system, but none were found. I went to a meeting at http://itsgoodbusiness.net and listened to Tom Prendergast talk about how he has gotten increased results every month for seven years, even though he was not working the business. In other words, his check had gone up every single month since he started, and all he had to do was buy customers.

I have bought leads in the past, and let me tell you, even though the company claims that the leads are fresh and exclusive to you, they have been sold several, if not hundreds of times. I have never called a lead where I was the first person to contact them. As a matter of fact, I may have been the tenth person to call a so called "Fresh Lead".
Buying Arbonne™, Quixtar®, MonaVie™, Send Out Cards™, Big Planet®, Vemma®, or Nu Skin™ leads will never help you grow your business. If you are determined, and a great telemarketer, you may get some positive results, but for the majority on home based business owners, it will never work.

Nu Skin Leads-514 A Different Kind of Beginning
From its earliest days, Provo, Utah-based Nu Skin™ Enterprises sought to differentiate itself from the rest of the pack. Nedra and Blake Roney worked to bring Nedra's idea to fruition -- a skin care product line that contained only beneficial ingredients and no potentially harmful fillers -- but finding someone to manufacture such a product proved challenging. Plus, in a program where the drive is to recruit distributors instead of retail customers, the attrition rate and failure rate of the participants is in some cases as high as 99%. An organization comprised of sales representatives statistically will collapse fairly quickly, as true stability in any business is based upon a solid customer base of satisfied customers, who use consummable products, and buy them regularly. Sales representatives, however, are driven only by making money, and if they are not making money, they quit. This means to sustain income or grow your profits, you need to continually work harder over time to achieve even average (at best) results.
Personally, having belonged to more than one MLM company, Nu Skin™ being just one of these companies, I know how hard I worked and just how high the cost of doing business actually was. In 1984, when Nedra Roney approached her brother Blake with an idea for a skin care company with a difference, neither of them could imagine that Nu Skin™ Enterprises would one day boast more than $1.2 billion dollars in sales. A Different Kind of Beginning
From its earliest days, Provo, Utah-based Nu Skin™ Enterprises sought to differentiate itself from the rest of the pack. Nedra and Blake Roney worked to bring Nedra's idea to fruition -- a skin care product line that contained only beneficial ingredients and no potentially harmful fillers -- but finding someone to manufacture such a product proved challenging. "It was really difficult getting that first batch of product made, because we didn't have any money," says Blake Roney, now Nu Skin™'s Chairman of the Board. "We were calling manufacturers asking them if they could make a product with all of these ingredients and they would say, 'Nobody puts all those ingredients in their products because it would be so expensive.' "
After much research, Nedra and Blake finally found a manufacturer willing to make the products -- and ship them COD. But once the product was made, how were they going to get it into the hands of consumers? Enter fellow founders Steve Lund, Brooke Roney and Sandie Tillotson, who joined Nedra and Blake in the initial stages to help with product development, creating a marketing and distribution system and establishing a direct salesforce.
Tillotson, now Senior Vice President, brought significant direct selling experience to the growing enterprise. "I had been a distributor in another network marketing company, so I had the distributor experience," she says. "Nedra was in my downline in the other network marketing opportunity, and this opportunity went Chapter 11. But I learned a lot from the experience and thought it was a great way to market something."
Blake Roney says choosing direct selling as the method of distribution not only made sense, it was the only way to set the product line apart from the competition. "The product was substantially different from anything on the market," he says. "It was really much better by a huge margin. And you would not know that by just putting it on a shelf. It wasn't going to look as nice as an Estée Lauder's product and it wasn't going to smell any better, or feel any better in the first 30 seconds. So we had no chance if we didn't explain to people why it was different and talk them into trying it. And we probably would have needed a $100 million budget to introduce it through normal channels."
Instead, the founders invited people into their living rooms and explained exactly what made their product different. "The very first product we demonstrated was the facial lift system," Tillotson says. "We would apply it to one side of the face during a meeting, and we would talk to them about the benefits of the product. Once we washed it off, we would point out the differences. We've always prided ourselves that our products really create a difference."
Roney says the company's skin care line was only one aspect of how Nu Skin™ sought to demonstrate the difference. Company Overview Nu Skin™ Enterprises, Inc. (together with its affiliates, the "Company") is a global direct selling company that operates in more than 40 countries throughout North and South America, Asia and Europe. The Company operates in three divisions: (1) the Nu Skin™ division markets premium quality skin care and personal care products; (2) the Pharmanex™ division is a science-based developer of nutrition products; and (3) the Big Planet™ division markets and distributes Internet, technology, ebusiness tools and digital photography products.
Distributors
The Company markets its products through a network of independent distributors. Retail Markups
Distributors can buy Nu Skin™, Pharmanex™ and Big Planet™ products from the Company at wholesale prices for resale to customers or for personal consumption. Some Big Planet™ products are services, such as Internet access, on which there is no retail mark-up earned by distributors. In addition, some Big Planet™ products are lower margin products offered through Internet mall affiliates. Consequently, lower levels of commissions are paid on the sale of such products. The Company's suggested retail markup is 30% on most of its personal care and nutrition products. However, distributors are free to set their own selling price and may personally consume some of the products they purchase. As a result, the Company currently neither provides an estimate of average income from retail sales nor includes distributor retail income in its average commission information.
Commissions
Distributors can also earn commissions based on the sale of products by a distributor and his/her downline of sponsored distributors in all markets where the Company does business. The Company also sells promotional materials that do not generate commissions to distributors.
